January Chills

It’s here, wooly hat wearing, frozen windscreen scraping, subzero January. The dampness of December is now long gone, and the weather has changed completely. The bees are comfortably huddled in their hives, happily munching through their honey supplies, warming up, ready to steam train straight into the great British summer, no prisoners taken, and thoroughly make the most of it.

There’s a while to go yet until the honey harvests of 2025. Queen breeding and nuc production is at the forefront of our intentions once again this year. Our queen breeding programme was a great success again last year, with getting some superb bee genetics out there.

We’ve a few new speciality premium products hitting our shop this year, so keep an eye open. What’s coming is pretty damned good.
